Το πρώτο του solo box set με τίτλο Retrospective: Selected Recordings 1973-2023 κυκλοφορεί ο Bryan Ferry στις 25 Οκτωβρίου, με την κυκλοφορία από τη BMG να γιορτάζει τα 50 χρόνια της σπουδαίας καριέρας του. Για να συνοδεύσει την είδηση, ο καλλιτέχνης και μέλος των θρυλικών Roxy Music διασκεύασε το κομμάτι του Bob Dylan με τίτλο “She Belongs to Me”, το οποίο μπορείτε να ακούσετε πιο κάτω.
Το Retrospective: Selected Recordings 1973-2023 περιλαμβάνει 81 tracks που ο Ferry κυκλοφόρησε στις Island Records, Polydor, Virgin, E.G. Records και BMG, από 16 από τα solo albums της καριέρας του. Περιλαμβάνει επίσης και δύο νέες ηχογραφήσεις, με μια εξ’ αυτών να είναι το “Star”, το πρώτο original υλικό του από το 2014.
Η συλλογή θα γίνει διαθέσιμη ψηφιακά, αλλά και σε 5xCD edition που θα συνοδεύεται από ένα hardback βιβλίο με liner notes και φωτογραφίες. Ο πρώτος δίσκος της θα είναι ένα greatest hits compilation, ο δεύτερος θα περιλαμβάνει συνθέσεις, ενώ ο τρίτος θα αποτελείται από διασκευές. Ο τέταρτος δίσκος θα εστιάζει σε πιο conceptual και ορχηστρικές δουλειές του Ferry, ενώ στον πέμπτο θα έχουμε B-sides, extras, curiosities και outtakes της καριέρας του.
Διαθέσιμη θα γίνει και μια 2xLP/single-CD version, με tracks του πρώτου δίσκου του box set.
Το πιο πρόσφατο studio album του Ferry ήταν το Bitter-Sweet του 2018. Το 2022, ο ίδιος κυκλοφόρησε το covers EP με τίτλο Love Letters, ενώ πέρυσι επανακυκλοφόρησε το Mamouna. Ο ίδιος επανενώθηκε με τους Roxy Music το 2022.
