Οι υποψηφιότητες για τα 83α βραβεία Oscar θα ανακοινωθούν στις 25 Ιανουαρίου όμως σήμερα ανακοινώθηκε από την Αμερικανικκή Ακαδημία Κινηματογραφικών Τεχνών και Επιστημών, η λίστα με τα 41 τραγούδια τα οποία έχουν πιθανότητες να είναι υποψήφια στην κατηγορία Best Original Song.
Μεταξύ των πιθανών υποψήφιων είναι ο Jonsi των Sigur Ros για το τραγούδι ‘Sticks and Stones’ στην ταινία ‘How To Train Your Dragon’, ο Eddie Vedder για το ‘Bettter Days’ στην ταινία ‘Eat Pray Love’ και ο Beck με τον Deventra Banhart για το θέμα της τανίας ‘Life During Wartime’.
